Let it Snow!

Today was a pretty eventful day...the alarm went off at 6:30 for hockey, Jason & Jake got home around 8:50 and I left for the Ladies breakfast at church. We had special guests from Guatemala...Karla & Steve, Karla works with prostitutes trying to rehabilitate them, most of her work is in the bars in Guatemala, it was very interesting. Karla spoke in Spanish and Steve interpreted for her. I left around 11:15. We brought Jacob to my Mom's-Kayla was already there making homemade rolls. Jason & I went into Moncton all by ourselves, that hasn't happened in a long, long time. We actually strolled the mall...window shopping, deciding on Christmas gifts. We ended our "date" at Chapters with an eggnog latte. Don't tell anyone but we came home and had an hr nap before we went to my parents for supper :) Eliza had dance this afternoon and spent the rest of the day with her girlfriends...her day included sliding, a movie and a hot tub...lucky girl!

I almost forgot....it's snowing! We were only expecting a few cm's so I thought it would melt as soon as it touched the ground, but it's actually accumulated. Tomorrow's a busy day...church, figure skating, financial peace university & then church again....wonder if we'll attend everything tomorrow!! It seems like the last few sundays we've made it to church in the morning and figure skating and that's it.

I'm off to watch a bit of tv with my stache man...more on that on another day!

Here I Go Again....

I'm taking a stab at this blogging thing again...I think I need a place to vent :)

It's been a year and a half since my last post...I'm going to sum up the last little while bullet style!

***Went back to work...everything's going very well.
***We took a family trip to Florida, did the Disney Adventure for a week, then cruised for a week with my parents and Jay's parents, we had an absolutely amazing time.
***Kayla finished her 2nd year of skating and is now in Jr's...she will be hopefully testing for her 1st Dance the Dutch Waltz sometime in December, she's doing amazing!
***Eliza takes Lyrical Dance Classes, and will be starting Voice Lessons in January.
***Jake is in his first year of hockey and loving it!
***Jason found out 3 weeks ago that his office is relocating to NYC, he has until March 15th to find something else, he's already had a few interviews and we're not worried.
***I became a new Auntie to a beautiful little girl named Emma, My bro and his wife had a Baby girl in September.

That's the major stuff...now onto the day to day things and venting!

Christmas is coming! I was looking at the calendar last night and trying to pencil in everything we'd like to do over the season...it's so funny that we try to cram so much into 2 weeks every year. This year I'm scheduling some of our "normal" Christmasy stuff for January, Jan & Feb typically are blah-type months so I thought why not...so our Annual Aunts & Uncles Party is going to be January 8th this year. We're still hoping to get away to Florida in March of this year, we halted buying our tickets and stuff just because of Jay's job situation but we're still hopeful!

I'm involved with something very exciting this year. PUTT--Project Under the Tree...it provides a Christmas Box to Men & Women in our community who are struggling to meet their basic needs. My bf Tiffany is the Co-ordinator this year, and I'm helping her...our goal this year is 1000 boxes and to date we've rec'd 62, we're on our way. Our kick-off was Monday at City Hall, and wow what a tremendous turn out. The lobby was full! More soon....
