Update on the Skor Cake

It wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I thought it would be gooey and very yummy, but it definitely wasn't. I don't think I'll make it again.

Snow Day, Kijiji and lots more!

Unbelievable! The kids had last Tuesday off because of a snow storm and today's another snow day for them....it's the 30th of March for goodness sakes. They're forecasting 25 cm of snow...YuCk!!!!

Well...I posted my very first item on Kijiji and it sold within 1hr Wooohooo!! The kids and I are going around the house trying to find more stuff to sell, it's kind of a fun way to spend a snow day!

The Ice Shows went very well. Jacob was pretty tired at the end of the night. They all did a fantastic job! Kayla's little best friend won Champion of the Year, that was very exciting! They have 1 more night of skating where they'll be tested and after a potluck. I'm going to make Poppyseed Chicken again it's so yummy!

Eating wise...I'm not doing too bad, every day's a challenge. I just want to eat a big bag of chips with onion dip! Willpower, willpower, willpower!

Ice Show Day!!

Today is the Ice Show...yay! Eliza, Kayla & Jacob are all skating. Jacob is going to be Bob the Builder, and the girls are Oompa Loompa's from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I'll post pictures later! Their costumes are really cute...(of course they are...I made them!!)

Last night was Girls Night Out at my church and I ate way too much fattening food! I just got back from a nice long walk in attempting to reverse any damage I did last night! Back on track today!!

Gotta go get organized for the day!!

Oops...

Not sure how to work this thing quite yet...but here's a picture of the Skor Cake without the Cool Whip on the top....

Skor Cake

Skor Cake

1 Yellow Cake Mix

1 Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Bottle of Butterscotch Sunday Topping

4 Skor Bars

1 Tub of Cool Whip

Make cake as directed. Mix S.C. Milk with the Butterscotch and once cake is cooked put holes all over the cake and pour the Butterscotch mixture over the cake. (While the cake is still warm). Crush the Skor Bars and sprinkle them over the top. Once cooled spread the Cool Whip over the top of the cake. Enjoy!

Welcome to my Blog!

I'm starting another attempt at blogging! This is my 3rd attempt. They say 3 times a charm! I'm going to blog about my life with my husband and my 3 children. I love to cook and prepare meals, I don't love baking so much...something I'm working on! I've just recently started a weight loss journey by going to a Nutritionist. I'll probably blog about that too!

Tonight my Ladies Group at my church (WoW--Women of Worth) is having a Comedy Night & Pot Luck. I can't wait to sit back and laugh and enjoy the evening with my friends. Gotta go get those curlers in my hair! Something else new that I'm trying!!
